I am from India but have lived most of my life in Middle-Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman.
I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Bath in the UK, and during this time also interned at Element H Chennai. Here, I worked with Kavya Kumar and Dr Sandhya Rani Ramadass on a research project exploring factors influencing self-efficacy and achievement motivation in Indian women.
Further, during my junior year, as part of a placement, I worked as a research intern within the Harvard Laboratory for Developmental Studies. Here, I assisted Dr Shari Liu and Professor Elizabeth Spelke on a project exploring infants’ understanding of peril in other agents’ actions (Liu et al., 2022)
Both experiences helped me realize that I wished to pursue a research related career, particularly one within the developmental sciences, which led me to apply to graduate school
